2024 UNESCO Adelaide City of Music International Collaboration Award

On Thursday 7 November, Dr Oliver Fartach-Naini, Associate Director of Postgraduate Coursework Programs and Senior Lecturer in Guitar and Pedagogy at the Elder Conservatorium of Music was announced as the winner of the 2024 UNESCO Adelaide City of Music International Collaboration Award. This award is in recognition of his sustained commitment to building creative and professional relationships with South Korea, especially Daegu and Tongyeong, both UNESCO Cities of Music. Oliver Fartach-Naini's collaborative music making with South Korean guitarist Lee Song-Ou began in 1990 and the duo has continued to tour internationally ever since. Oliver Fartach-Naini has visited South Korea countless times for concert, recording and teaching engagements as well as taking Elder Conservatorium guitar students along for study and concert tours in 2010, 2017 and 2023.
