Vice-Chancellor's message

The annual University Awards for Outstanding Achievement are a highlight of the University calendar: it’s an opportunity for us to get together to shine a light on our achievements, and celebrate the absolute excellence we have within our own University of Adelaide community. Each nominee this year has made a demonstrable contribution in support of research, teaching or community engagement, and done so while embracing and exemplifying our University values of Integrity, Respect, Collegiality, Excellence and Discovery.
It is my great pleasure to share with you the recipients of the 2024 University Awards for Outstanding Achievement, announced at the event on 21 November.

Congratulations to all the recipients. I encourage you to take the time to read about the significant achievements of all the award recipients and shortlisted finalists on the Awards website.
Every nominee and shortlisted candidate should feel very proud of their achievement. I also want to thank the staff who took the time to nominate their colleagues, and I am very appreciative of the significant role undertaken by shortlisting and selection committee members under the leadership of Professor Laura Parry.
I know that the award winners recognised this year represent only a fraction of our pool of outstanding staff, so when next year’s nominations are called for, please take the time to make a nomination. Being nominated above, is a great honour for any nominee.
