Chancellor's message
The final full year of the University of Adelaide has been a time of reflection on the past, and preparation for the future. We have celebrated the past through events involving staff, students, community partners and alumni – and we have celebrated locally, nationally and globally, as we farewelled a beloved institution.
Distinguished Alumni Awards
On Thursday 4 December, Union House hosted the Distinguished Alumni Awards to celebrate and recognise the remarkable achievements of our Alumni community who continue to be part of our University's ongoing success.
Pathways to Politics for Women Graduation
The University proudly celebrated the graduation of the third South Australian cohort of the Pathways to Politics at the National Wine Centre last week. Seventeen inspiring participants graduated, joining a growing community of national alumni who have already achieved 92 electoral successes across all levels of government. More information.

Women’s Professional Development Network
It’s been an eventful 30th anniversary year for our Women’s Professional Development Network. Capped off by The Governor’s Award for Business Achievement in Gender Equity in September, and wrapping up a record-breaking 2025 mentoring program last week, the network has enjoyed a highly successful final year at the University of Adelaide.

Vice-Chancellor's message
We are in the middle of one of my favourite annual events at our University: the Children’s University graduations in Bonython Hall. Over a three week period, more than 3,000 excited young children will visit the North Terrace campus, dressed in their graduation robes and accompanied by their proud families and supporters. This month we will have 12 graduations, and I wish to thank all my colleagues whose contributions to the many aspects of this program make it a reality, and a success.
Recognition of Outstanding Service and Contribution Reception
On Friday 7 November, the University hosted a morning tea to honour staff who have reached 40 or more years of continuous service. The event recognised the dedication, wisdom, and contributions of the following individuals to the University community: Peter Apoefis, Greg Badger, Antoinette Brincat, Helen Brown, Jordana Feek, Heather Fraser, Professor Michael Horowitz, Professor David Kennaway, Christopher Leigh, Marisa Lopresto, Antonietta Luppino, Joanne Moore, Morena Pelle, Julie Raeck, Jennifer Richter, Professor Anthony Thomas AC FAA, Stephen Whittington, Dr Peter Zalewski and Dr Peter Zilm.
