Our transition to a modular curriculum using a modified semester
Adelaide University’s ambition is to deliver Australia’s most accessible, contemporary curriculum that creates more flexibility for students than ever before. This will be delivered through The Adelaide Attainment Model, which will guide the design and development of new course content.

Invite to all staff virtual town hall
It has been a busy start to the year and as we continue our transition to the establishment of Adelaide University, we wanted to take this opportunity to provide staff with an update on our progress. Thursday 13 June, 3.30–4.30 pm. Online.
Launching Adelaide University
In mid-July 2024, Adelaide University will be launched on the world stage with a series of events and campaigns, marking another significant step towards opening our doors on 1 January 2026. We will create “moments that matter” as we see the university and its new brand expression come to life.
Adelaide University Student Experience Vision & Roadmap
Adelaide University aims to empower students to become life-long learners and effect positive change in themselves, their communities, and the world at large. We have partnered with students and staff over the past six months to create a Student Experience Vision & Roadmap that will allow us to create an environment where students can be supported to be the best they can be.

Our curriculum journey
Today, we are launching the first update to the Curriculum Domain section of the Adelaide University Interim Staff Intranet. This will be the central repository for sharing information about key milestones and progress within the Curriculum Domain.
Adelaide University Transition Council update
On 8 March 2024, we announced the establishment of the new Adelaide University and its governing body, led by Ms Pauline Carr as Chancellor. As activity to build the new Adelaide University intensifies and the Transition Council settles into its important role, there has been a change to its membership to manage workload effectively and to strengthen the governing body.

Research and Research Training Domain virtual town hall reminder
We would like to remind staff that the Research and Research Training Domain is holding a virtual town hall on Thursday 9 May from 3–4 pm via Zoom. This event is open to all staff who are interested in staying informed on key research activities leading up to our transition to the new Adelaide University. We will share updates on core areas of focus and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions in an open Q&A. Please register for the virtual town hall to receive the Zoom link.

Thank you to everyone who attended one of the recent virtual staff town halls hosted by the co-Vice Chancellors. We covered some significant matters relating to the transition to Adelaide University, including a potential high-level functional structure for Adelaide University and potential approaches for the transfer of employment of staff to the new institution.
