Open Day volunteers
Open Day is the largest recruitment event for the University; it is busy, fun and full of atmosphere. In order to ensure a successful event we need volunteers – this means you! There are a variety of roles available. More information.
Graduations: Academic Procession and staff volunteer registration
The April/May graduation ceremonies will be held between Monday 29 April and Thursday 9 May in Bonython Hall. Academic staff are encouraged to register to attend as part of the Academic Procession by Monday 8 April. Staff helpers are also required to assist at the ceremonies and can register here.

Volunteer Achievement Awards

On Tuesday 5 December the exceptional contributions of our volunteers were recognised at the annual Volunteer Achievement Awards. Read more about all the deserving winners here.
National Volunteer Week
Monday 15 May marks the start of National Volunteer Week, which provides a great opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the 2500 University volunteers who gave over 60,000 hours of their time in 2022. Thank you to all of those who generously donate their time and skills for the benefit of the University. Our community is richer for their contribution.
Volunteer achievement awards
Congratulations to Steven Pinhorn - Volunteer of the Year, Kimberley Handley and Xusheng Li - joint winners of Student Volunteer of the Year, Career Access Mentoring Program volunteers - Student Volunteer Group of the Year, and TERN Surveillance volunteers - Community Volunteer Group of the Year. Nominations open
Nominations are open for the Staff Community Volunteering Award. The Award recognises outstanding achievements by an individual staff member who has given at least two years' voluntary service to a community or cause outside their workplace.

Nominations are open for the annual Volunteer Achievement Awards that recognise a Volunteer of the Year, Student Volunteer of the Year, Staff Community Volunteer Award and Volunteer Group of the Year for their exceptional achievements and significant contribution to the University and wider community.

A rewarding opportunity exists for Aussie staff to volunteer with the Talking with Aussies program.
September graduation ceremonies
The September graduation ceremonies will be held between Wednesday 21 and Friday 23 September in Bonython Hall.
Employee Assistance Services for Titleholders
The University has extended the Employee Assistance Program to Titleholders and registered volunteers for a 12 month period. This will be reviewed by 1 August 2023. More Information.
