The Stretton Institute hosted our first webinar under the Agrifood policy research program on 28 April 2020  - an expert panel discussion on COVID-19 on global food security.

The expert panel consisting of Professor Martin Cole (Head of School, Agriculture, Food and Wine), Professor Wendy Umberger (Executive Director, Centre for Global Food and Resources) and Dr Jo Zhou (School of Agriculture, Food and Wine) explored the impacts of COVID-19, and more broadly food crisis', on Australia and globally, the disadvantaged communities, the global supply chain, and international trade. The panel also discussed policies and mechanisms that support people to eat in affordable, safe, and healthy ways during a pandemic such as COVID-19.

The discussion was facilitated by the Institute's Agrifood policy research Program Director, Professor Rachel Ankeny,

A recording of the panel discussion is now available for viewing.
