About the Mawson Geo Centre

We study the big picture – the evolving Earth and its resource potential.

Mawson Geo Centre researchers study the tectonics of the planet and apply an exploration philosophy to understanding earth processes and their control on resource endowment. We do this by building multidisciplinary teams that cross traditional university boundaries.

We also provide teaching opportunities in tectonics, resources and exploration across the world, with a focus on the controls on Australia’s resources.
