Diwali lights up the campus
Almost 500 students and staff shared in Diwali celebrations last week at the University's North Terrace campus, enjoying the food, music and cultural activities associated with this multi-faith festival of Light.

IT services introduce MyIT

Election of staff representatives to University Council
Nominations and voting for staff representatives to the University Council is managed by Big Pulse. All staff eligible to vote will receive an email from this service provider with a link to nomination forms. Nominations are open from 4-18 November. More information.

Public engagement in science survey
The Public Engagement in Science and Technology Adelaide (PESTA) research cluster is keen to find out about public engagement activities undertaken by University of Adelaide academics. You can take part in the survey and learn more here.
Review your health insurance
The University has a Corporate Health Insurance partnership with BUPA. Benefits to members include a possible 12 per cent monthly discount. Book a consultation at North Terrace, Roseworthy or Waite campuses to review your health cover options. Scan the QR code or phone to book.
Insurance deadline for notifiable events
The deadline for reporting notifiable events to the Insurance office is Monday 12 December. Incidents occurring after that date must be reported as they occur or as soon as they become known and before 31 December 2022.
Human Research Ethics applications deadline
Human Research Ethics applications requiring full HREC review are due 13 November and will be reviewed at the 5 December meeting. The HREC 2023 meeting schedule will be updated shortly, and more information regarding applications is also available on the website.

Pride Employee Network
A new network formed and run by the University's LGBTQIA+ staff has been established. The first Pride Employee Network meeting will be in the Unibar at 4 pm Friday 4 November. Contact Spencer to join the network or find out more.
Mental health first aid training
The final staff MHFA courses for 2022 will be held on December 5/6 and 13/14. This two-day workshop is available to staff who are interested in further developing their skills in providing initial support to people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.
