Young Women in STEM mentors
Please join us in encouraging women to pursue careers in the growing fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)! These students will have the opportunity to meet current women studying STEM while undertaking a range of engaging hands-on activities, taught by technologists, engineers, scientists, and mathematicians.
New in 2025, we're inviting all participating schools to attend a half-day career skills workshop for students to develop their personal brand, gain networking skills, and identify their own strengths.
We are seeking undergraduate students, postgraduate students, academics, and alumni to be mentors for the career skills workshops, and network with young girls to pursue a career in STEM!
Workshop details:
- Tuesday 1 July: 9:30 am - 11:30 am and 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
- Wednesday 2 July: 9:30 am - 11:30 am and 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
- All sessions will be held at the North Terrace campus in Union House.
As a token of appreciation, lunch and a coffee voucher will be provided.
For HDR students, 6 CaRST credits will be awarded in Domain D (certificate to be awarded after attendance - self-recorded activity).
We look forward to welcoming the next generation of young women in STEM to our campus!
