CU students explore career pathways at first-ever Zoos SA Careers Day

During April, 22 students from Hallett Cove South Primary School participated in the inaugural Zoos SA Careers Day, a brand-new, tailored experience designed to introduce students to the diverse career pathways within Zoos SA. This unique program gave students the opportunity to meet and engage with professionals across a range of departments, including:
• Zookeeping
• Retail
• Tourism
• Conservation
• Public Relations

Participants not only learned about the various roles, but also took part in hands-on, work-experience-style activities, helping them gain a practical understanding of the skills and responsibilities involved.

This pilot program was developed with support from the General Manager of Zoo Learning and now represents an exclusive and enriching opportunity available to CU students—broadening their exposure to real-world career experiences.
