Racism@Uni survey

On Friday 15 August, all staff and students would have a received an email regarding the Australian Human Rights Commission’s Racism@Uni Survey.

It is the view of the University of Adelaide that racism has no place in Australian universities or in society more broadly. Indeed, as recently as April this year, the Council of the University of Adelaide reaffirmed its commitment to combating all forms of discrimination, including those based on religion, race, nationality, and national and ethnic origins. This commitment is central to fostering an inclusive and respectful University community.

We do believe, however, that it is important to conduct surveys that inform us about the prevalence and nature of any racism that may be occurring on campuses. Staff and students are therefore encouraged to undertake the Australian Human Rights Commission’s Racism@Uni Survey.
