Sexual Misconduct Annual Report
The University has released its Sexual Misconduct Annual Report for 2023 outlining the significant steps the University has taken in recent years to address and prevent sexual misconduct. It also lays out important future steps as part of its commitment to addressing and eliminating gender-based violence in the university community, and to ensuring that complaints are handled in a sensitive, trauma-informed way. Help build the AU Employee Experience
All staff are invited to participate in the design of the future employee experience sessions. The final sessions for 2024 will be held online on Tuesday 19 November, 10 am, 1.30 pm, and 3.30 pm as well as Thursday 21 November, 9.30 am and 11.30 am. New cyber security mandatory learning
In keeping with our continued efforts to keep our systems and data safe the new Cyber Security Mandatory Learning has been launched. All fixed term and continuing staff must complete the training by Wednesday 11 December.

ARC LIEF scheme
Professor Gavin Rowell, Professor Paul Jackson, Professor Nigel Spooner (School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences), Dr Andreas Boes (School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and IPAS), and Professor Andre Luiten (IPAS) are the University's five successful recipients of the ARC LIEF scheme and have been awarded over $5 million of funding. Maths Learning Centre running over summer
The Maths Learning Centre runs activities over summer to support prospective and current coursework students, with staff also welcome to join. There are maths play sessions called One Hundred Factorial each month, the online bridging course MathTrackX runs continuously, and the Drop-In Centre is open 1–4 pm during weekdays until Friday 13 December and will resume in the new year on Monday 6 January 2025.
Student awarded SA Young Australian of the Year
Amber Brock-Fabel, University of Adelaide’s Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) student majoring in Psychology and Criminology, has been awarded 2025 Young Australian of the Year for South Australia. Read more.
