Major publication in Australian art

Spinifex book cover

The book Sun and Shadow: art of the Spinifex People by Professor John Carty (School of Humanities) is the result of over a decade working with the Spinifex people in the Great Victoria Desert in WA, and is a collaboration with the Spinifex Arts Project. This research was funded by the Australian Research Council. More information.

Ashley Dennis-Henderson has been awarded the 2023 Hugh Martin Weir PrizeAshley is currently undertaking a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and her research focuses on the analysis of historical texts using natural language processing.
