Playford Trust Scholarships

With a total of 45 scholarships available, University of Adelaide students scored 27 of them and laid claim to five out of six Commendation Awards. Playford Trust scholarships and awards aim to help students make the most of their studies, achieve their potential and contribute to South Australia’s knowledge, skills and research base.

Portfolio Change Proposals

A reminder that Change Proposals have been issued for Corporate and International and External Engagement Portfolios. The consultation period for these closes at 11.59 pm (ACST) on Thursday 1 May 2025. Please visit the Change Proposal Hub on the interim AU intranet to access the Change Proposals, and for more information or to provide feedback. Recordings of the Portfolio Town Hall meetings held last Thursday are also available on the intranet page.

Changes to casual timesheet submission and validation dates

In the lead up to academic staff transfer, academic casuals are reminded to ensure all outstanding timesheets, including timesheet amendments for work done, are submitted and approved by these dates, to avoid delays in payments. Further information.

Dynamic Balance for Life safe falls course

This ten-week course developed by Adelaide University Judo Club is open to everyone who would like to learn how to defend themselves from falls and injuries when they might have lost their balance. Participants will be guided through methods to improve posture and balance and also learn the four key fall techniques to minimise injury when you have a fall. Friday 9 May to Friday 11 July, 10 am to 11 am. 34 Phillips Street, Thebarton. Register.

Festival of Learning and Teaching call for contributions

Contributions are invited from academic and professional staff to present at the Festival of Learning and Teaching on Tuesday 24 June. The theme is Transformation in Learning and Teaching. Proposals for the marketplace of ideas or interactive presentations are due by 9 am Tuesday 6 May. Further information.
