Commendations for the Enhancement and Innovation of Student Learning
Academic and professional staff, individuals and teams are encouraged to apply for these awards that recognise contributions to student learning and engagement. Interested staff are invited to attend a Writing Workshop on Wednesday 5 July, 12–1 pm. Applications close Monday 9 October.

Stephen Cole the Elder Awards for Excellence
These awards recognise achievement in teaching, support of teaching, and supervisory practices. Academic and professional staff, individuals and teams are encouraged to apply. Interested staff are invited to attend a writing workshop on Thursday 6 July, 12-1 pm. More information.

Student Health and Wellbeing Grants
Student Health and Wellbeing are offering grants of up to $300 during Health Week (14–18 August). Applications are invited from student clubs, associations, and staff areas for events or initiatives that promote healthy eating. Applications due by Sunday 16 July. More information.
AV Asset Refresh project
As part of the 2023 AV Refresh project, upgrades will be made in identified common teaching areas at the North Terrace, Roseworthy, and Waite campuses, with a focus on replacing aging projectors and projector screens. Read more.
New Casual Engagement User Guides

Academic Board Chair’s Message
This week marks one year since the reconfiguration of Academic Board membership in response to the independent review conducted by Emeritus Professor Ian O’Connor.
Uni Bar closure
The Uni Bar will be closed until Tuesday 18 July due to Union House building works occurring during for much of the mid-semester break. Uni Bar will reopen on Wednesday 19 July.
Illuminate Adelaide: Lumen Bar bookings
From Friday 7 to Sunday 23 July, Lumen bar will be back on the Goodman Crescent Lawns. This bespoke glass-walled marquee nestled amongst the playful display of Illuminate Adelaide’s City Lights can be booked for private events and all staff are encouraged to consider Lumen as a venue for any upcoming events during this time. 2023 Distinguished Alumni Awards
Nominations are open for the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Awards, which recognise alumni who are making outstanding contributions and improving lives. Submit nominations by Monday 17 July, 9 am.
Enterprise Agreement – update
Voting for the proposed University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2023 – 2025 ended on 7 June and of the more than 2,000 staff who participated, 92% voted in favour of the proposed Agreement. The Agreement has now been lodged with the Fair Work Commission and you will receive a further update once the Agreement has been approved by the Commission.
