Celebrating our colleagues: Chelsea Deckert

In 2018 I moved from upstate New York to Australia for a six-month internship. That then led to a Master of Education degree here at the University of Adelaide, and six months has ballooned to six years! My Master’s degree in education specialised in educational wellbeing. What I found is that wellbeing is multi-faceted, with no single definition applying to each individual. Rather, it includes a diverse range of mental, emotional, and physical components.

Chief Operating Officer's message

Information technology plays a central role in the transition to Adelaide University. The University’s Information Technology and Digital Services (ITDS) team, with their functional expertise and knowledge of future Adelaide University systems, will contribute significantly to the merger.
Humanities Travelling Fellowships
Dr Lucy Stone has received one of ten Humanities Travelling Fellowships awarded by the Australian Academy of the Humanities. The fellowship enables early career researchers to undertake research overseas, where they may access materials otherwise inaccessible, connect with international organisations, researchers and forge new networks. Digital FUTURES Award / the Matthias Rippmann Memorial Prize

Professor Jane Burry (Head of School of Architecture and Civil Engineering) was awarded the Digital FUTURES Award / the Matthias Rippmann Memorial Prize 2024. The award is in recognition of Professor’s Burry exceptional contributions in advancing digital architecture discourse and community through education and research.

Adelaide University campus pop-ups
New Adelaide University branded lanyards were provided to staff at the Convention Centre event and will be distributed across our campuses for those who couldn’t attend. Adelaide metro campus pop-ups for staff to collect their new Adelaide University lanyard commence from Monday 29 July. View locations and dates.
Global IQ Connect
The Global IQ Connect program is an extra-curricular program for students of all levels. It enables participants to deepen their cultural intelligence, a key skill set for building the confidence to navigate diverse settings at university, at the workplace and generally in life. More information.
