Australian Research Council (ARC) 2024 Australian Laureate Fellows

Two University of Adelaide researchers, Professor Derek Abbott (School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) and Professor Alan Collins (School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences), have been named Australian Research Council 2024 Australian Laureate Fellows for their work in transforming terahertz biosensing and unearthing the secrets of our planet. The University is currently undertaking a Review of Undergraduate Programs in Animal Science and Animal Behaviour. Planning, Development and Review (PDR) mid-term review meetings can take place from Monday 3 June. All conversation records must be submitted in SSO by Friday 26 July. Launching Adelaide University
In mid-July 2024, Adelaide University will be launched on the world stage with a series of events and campaigns, marking another significant step towards opening our doors on 1 January 2026. We will create “moments that matter” as we see the university and its new brand expression come to life.

National Reconciliation Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians and encourages all Australians to actively contribute towards reconciliation in our country.
Union House restaurant name
Over 50% of respondents in the recent poll chose Taikunthi, the Kaurna word meaning ‘coming together’ or ‘united together in partnership’, symbolic of people meeting and eating, with a nod to our upcoming merger. Taikunthi (pronounced Turkindi) will open later this year along with four function rooms.
