What's growing in the garden?

A blade of grass

It may seem like it’s harder to eat seasonally in winter without our fresh berries and tomatoes and basil (three of my favourite summer things), but there is still a lot going on. One of the great things about being home during this pandemic is the array of space, and fruit and veg that we grow. Even people in the city with limited space are flocking to gardening and home grown produce during iso.

Here’s a couple of my winter favourites;

  • Parsley
  • Mint
  • Kiwi fruit
  • Beautiful fragrant lemons
  • Spinach
  • Bok Choy
  • Broccoli

With all these wonderful things growing I’ve been adding a good helping of herbs to all of my meals as well as whipping up some great stir fry’s. The veggie garden captures some lovely dew every morning that makes the whole garden and every blade of grass pop.  So, keep an eye out for some local seasonal produce or have a go at growing your own at home. What is your favourite produce of winter?
