Being single sucks right now
Normally, I love being single. I love the freedom and independence of not being in a romantic relationship. I like casual dating. I get all the love I could ever want from my friends and family and I don't feel like I need it from a romantic partner.
Showing love from a distance
"Social distancing" has become a commonly used phrase. We are avoiding physical contact with other people as much as possible. Standing two metres apart. No hugs. No unnecessary gatherings. These measures are necessary to flatten the curve and keep as many people healthy as possible.
My working from home tips
Working from home can be hard. Don’t get me wrong, it definitely has its benefits, not least of which are no commute and no need to put proper pants on. But all those distractions that might stop you doing your best at uni are heightened at home.
What to do in isolation?
It all happened really quickly. My classes were moved online, I started working from home and all my volunteering and social events were cancelled. Before I knew it, everyone in my house was either unemployed or working and studying from home.
