Study Overseas Ambassadors
Study Overseas Ambassadors create a community of globally-minded Study Overseas Alumni who can share the benefits of an overseas study experience with the broader University community. The Study Overseas Ambassador program provides students who have undertaken an overseas study experience with an opportunity to promote overseas experiences to prospective students, act as ambassadors for their host university/overseas program, and provide assistance at Study Overseas and Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) events as needed, enhancing the experience of event attendees and providing valuable input into events from a student perspective.
Ambassadors are given the opportunity to undertake some or all of the following tasks:
- Social media engagement
- Setting up/packing up events
- Participating in panel discussions
- Answering enquiries
- Giving oral presentations of their overseas experience
- Engaging with international visitors from partner universities
To become a Study Overseas Ambassador, students must have completed a Study Overseas program. Ambassadors are expected to be friendly, confident, well-presented, articulate, and culturally aware.
If you are interested in applying to become a Study Overseas Ambassador, please keep an eye on your emails and our social media channels. Applications open in January each year.
