Worldwide finalist: Dr Lulu He

Dr Lulu He was recently one of six worldwide finalists (and the only one from Australia) for the United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction Rising Star Award. Dr He works in the University's Natural Hazard Research Group, managing a research project on bushfire likelihood prediction in Australia using remote sensing data. Her passion for disaster research comes from a personal experience in 2008 when an earthquake struck her hometown in Sichuan Province.
