Amid sunny skies, it was a fast and furious race for the VC Cup this year with the team from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences coming out on top by just two seconds ahead of the Sciences, Engineering and Technology team. Special Events Manager Adam Gardnir (External Engagement) has been appointed Chair of the 2023 Feast Festival, Adelaide's not-for-profit LGBTIQ+ Queer Arts and Cultural Festival.

ARC grant for Aboriginal music revival

A team of researchers, led by the University of Adelaide has secured $1.03 million over three years under the Australian Research Council’s Discovery Indigenous Scheme to research Aboriginal tuning systems, how they are organised, and how they can be applied in collaboration with contemporary Western ensembles.

Funding supports vital medical research

Congratulations to the University of Adelaide staff who have been awarded almost $11 million in funding from the Federal Government’s Medical Research Future Fund. The funding, totalling $10,937,696, will support projects in Indigenous health, genomics and cardiovascular research.
