Culture Survey: Closing soon
Thank you to everyone who has participated in our first cross-institutional staff Culture Survey to date. We have seen an encouraging uptake over the past few weeks, but there is still time to participate if you have not done so yet.
Shaping our new curriculum through co-creation
For the Curriculum Domain, co-creation is particularly important in the development of future-focused, equitable and industry-relevant education for new generations of learners. To date, more than 400 staff across both existing universities have participated in workshops on program development, innovation and key technologies required to support our new curriculum.

Researchers workshop: Programming with Python
Python is a popular program for scientific computing among researchers, but getting started can be challenging, especially if you have never programmed before. This live coding workshop will introduce you to Python through the use of Jupyter notebooks to write programs and produce results. Thursday 7 and Friday 8 March 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Online.

Introduce students to academic integrity
Raise awareness for the importance of academic integrity during your lectures and tutorials. Use our slide deck with your students at the beginning of semester to introduce integrity and provide a reminder to new students to complete the academic integrity module and add the resources to their MyUni course. More information.

The principles from the Code underpin the University’s Responsible Conduct of Research Policy and Procedure.
PDR conversation record forms updated
To assist with the Planning, Development and Review (PDR) 2024 conversations, the record forms have been streamlined with reduced pages to assist with ease of completion. More information.
UniForum professional staff activity benchmarking
The University will again participate in the UniForum benchmarking of professional staff and support services. The study helps us understand where we need to invest to meet current challenges and secure future opportunities. The annualised data collection has now commenced with contributing staff contacted shortly.

Review of Naming Buildings, Room and Open Spaces Policy and Procedures
At their meeting on 12 February, University Council considered the revised Naming Buildings, Rooms and Open Spaces Policy and Procedures and resolved to approve the revised policy and associated procedures as set out in Attachments 1 to 4 to agenda item 6.3. The revised Naming Policy and Procedures is now online.
