It's going to be okay :)

A ball with a smiley face on it floats optimistically in water.

There’s a meme where someone says that their favourite conspiracy theory is that everything is going to be okay.

I never thought about it that way, but I guess that’s exactly what it is. This statement relies on the thought that somehow, some way everything is ultimately conspiring for good. That’s a nice thought, and I really do think it’s true. I find it helps to stop and remind myself sometimes: everything is going to work out in the end, it’s going to be okay.

It takes the edge off the current struggles to know that I’m going to be coming out the other end of them. When we hit our lowest points, things can only get better. That’s obviously true.

I’ve found that optimism also helps me make the best out of bad situations. I try to attack my problems with a smile, and it seems to lead to better outcomes when I manage to do this. It’s also far less draining than giving  into the temptation of wallowing. Unfaltering hope and determination are a powerful combination. Giving up, on the other hand, is often prophetic.

I’ve found seeing the positives helps. So I thought I’d just remind myself (and you as well) that its going to be okay :)
