New online research ethics and compliance system

Research Services and ITDS are implementing a new online system for managing human research ethics, animal ethics, and gene technology/biosafety applications called ACES (Adelaide Compliance and Ethics System). Work is underway to transfer current systems and processes into this single online platform, scheduled for release in early 2025. More information.

Notifying the Library of prescribed textbooks

Creating or rolling over your course reading list is part of setting up your 2025 MyUni courses. Add your prescribed textbook and add a ‘Textbook’ tag. Publishing your list sends it directly to the Library to ensure resource availability before teaching begins. See introduction to course readings for more instructions.

Teaching Review Program - round 1, 2025

The Teaching Review Program has been designed to provide evidence in support of staff applications for individual University teaching awards, academic promotion, or conversion to education specialist appointments. Applications for round 1 in 2025 are now open. Visit the website for more information and to apply. The deadline for applications is Friday 31 January 2025.

The Australian's annual Research magazine top 250

Professor Shaobin WangDr Zhiwei SunProfessor Peng ShiBehrouz KaramiDr David BaragliaProfessor Paul Jackson, and Dr Kunsheng Hu have each been named leaders in their field in The Australian’s annual Research magazine. The University has also been named as leading Australia’s research in three categories: Chemical and Material Sciences (general), Chemical Kinetics and Catalysis, and Thermal Sciences. Research and Research Training Domain December Town Hall

All staff are invited to the final Research and Research Training Domain Town Hall of 2024 via Zoom on Tuesday 10 December, 2.303.30 pm. This virtual event will focus on the work underway in our Graduate Research and Research Services spaces, including looking at enabling research funding, and is open to all staff interested in staying informed on research leading up to our transition to the new Adelaide University. There will be an opportunity at the end to ask questions in an open Q&A. Register.

Adelaide University academic calendar

Adelaide University aims to offer Australia’s most accessible and contemporary curriculum, supported by a gradual transition to a trimester academic calendar to enable more flexible and focused learning opportunities. Recognising the gradual nature of this transition, we will begin initial program-specific engagement activities in 2025, followed by broader engagement through until 2027 to ensure a collaborative and informed approach.
