Foundation University mandatory learning
In preparation for transition to AU, auto-enrolment in mandatory learning for new starters will be paused on 31 October. All existing enrolments in mandatory learning must be completed by 30 November 2025. For enquiries plaese contact either the HR Service Centre at hrservicecentre@adelaide.edu.au for UoA foundation staff, or People Central for UniSA foundation staff.
Virtual Q&A town hall
The co-Vice Chancellors will host an online Q&A all staff town hall. Wednesday 12 November, 1.15–2.15 pm. Check the event listing on the intranet for the Zoom link. The recording of the all staff town hall on 28 October is now available to view on the Interim Staff Intranet.

Final conferral deadlines for inclusion in March ceremonies
Both academic and professional staff serve as front-line communicators with our students. As such, it is imperative that all interactions are clear and consistent regarding the compressed conferral deadlines - and the impact they have on students who are transitioning or completing their programs in 2025. Detailed information to assist with staff communication and planning is now available on a staff only section on the ‘Graduating from Adelaide’ section of the website. Enquiries can also be directed to the Graduations Office.

Risks posed by illegal academic cheating services
TEQSA is concerned that illegal academic cheating services are posing a cyber security risk to higher education providers, through systematic targeting of learning management systems (LMS), and resulting in threats to students, academic and professional staff, research and information security, and have published the Sector update: Cyber security and associated risks posed by illegal academic cheating services.

Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia (ASSA)
Professor John Williams AM, University of Adelaide Provost and Adelaide University Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic has been elected as a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia (ASSA). The Academy brings together over 700 of Australia’s leading researchers and professionals across the social science disciplines.
