Assessment in the age of AI
The rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping how students learn, and how we teach and assess in higher education. In this workshop, you will explore the impact of generative AI on assessment validity, integrity, and authenticity. Using a structured evaluation tool, you will critically examine your current assessments for their susceptibility to AI tools and consider opportunities to strengthen or redesign them. Executive Dean's message
It was a privilege to recently attend the Reburial of Kaurna Ancestors at Kaurna Wangayarta, Smithfield Memorial Park. The ceremony laid to rest Kaurna ancestors whose remains were taken to the South Australian Museum in the late 1800s and early 20th century. It was a profoundly moving occasion and a powerful reminder of the enduring connection of the Kaurna people to this land.
Malcolm McIntosh Prize for Physical Scientist of the Year
Global leader in sustainable hydrogen production Professor Yao Zheng, from the University's School of Chemical Engineering, has been awarded the Malcolm McIntosh Prize for Physical Scientist of the Year at the Prime Minister's 2025 Prizes for Science event in Canberra. More information.

The 2025 Christmas Giving Tree
This is our final callout for donations for the 2025 Christmas Giving Tree in the Mitchell Building. All are invited to bring some joy to those in need by placing unwrapped gifts under the tree in the outer foyer, supporting the Vinnies SA Gift Appeal. To get donations to Vinnies in time for distribution, please make your donation in the Mitchell Building by 5 December or via your faculty/division representative. Vinnies has made a callout particularly for presents to suit teenagers, with suggestions including diaries/journals, sporting equipment, beach gear, backpacks, puzzles, books, boardgames, art/craft supplies, gift cards and fragrance or toiletries.

Foundation University mandatory learning
In preparation for transition to AU, auto-enrolment in mandatory learning for new starters will be paused on 31 October. All existing enrolments in mandatory learning must be completed by 30 November 2025. For enquiries plaese contact either the HR Service Centre at hrservicecentre@adelaide.edu.au for UoA foundation staff, or People Central for UniSA foundation staff.
Virtual Q&A town hall
