New and improved “UofA Guest” network

The “UofA Guest” WiFi network has been upgraded as part of our network modernisation work. This now allows for a simpler and quicker self-registration process and provides an improved internet connection on campus. More information and support.

Academic Promotion applications

Academic staff wishing to apply for promotion to Level B or Level C, are now invited to submit their applications. Online applications must be submitted by 5 pm on Monday 27 May. An online Q&A session will be held on Thursday 4 April for all academics applying for promotion to level B, level C or level D. For further information and to register.

ARC Mid-Career Industry Fellowship

Professor Kerry Wilkinson (School of Agriculture, Food and Wine) has been awarded $1,141,640 over four years, as part of the Australian Research Council’s Mid-Career Industry Fellowships scheme, to investigate the potential winemaking applications of membrane filtration. More information.

Australian Rover Challenge

Rover challenge

The Australian Rover Challenge (ARCh) is an annual robotics competition held by the University of Adelaide, where university students from across Australia and around the globe, battle it out in a full-scale Lunar mission, using semi-autonomous rovers that they have designed and built themselves.

Woman of the Year Awards

Dr Sarah Scholten (Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing) was last week named the SA Weekend Innovator of the Year for her significant contributions to her field, with the experimental physicist generating international attention. Sarah was one of six inspiring women recognised in the Advertiser Sunday Mail SkyCity Woman of the Year Awards. Read more.
