Add hydrogen combustion to a solar reactor for carbon-free mining and mineral processing

Dr Alfonso Chinnici and the HSRC

Researchers at the University of Adelaide's Centre for Energy Technology have developed a Solar Hybrid Receiver Combustor (HSRC) that can be used around the clock by industry, due to its ability to use a mix of heat sources; solar radiation from a heliostat field and combustion of renewable fuels.
