University Awards for Outstanding Achievement
There are only three days left to submit your online nomination for the 2023 University Awards for Outstanding Achievement. Up to 13 individual and team awards of $5,000 are available to recognise the many exceptional contributions of academic and professional staff and titleholders across the University. Nominations will close Wednesday 20 September.

Intern hosts wanted
The University offers internships to students across a range of disciplines, including business, finance, marketing, project management, science, technology and more. If you are interested in hosting a student on a short term internship to help enhance their learning experience while they’re studying, please contact internships@adelaide.edu.au.
Tony McMurtrie Award for Academic Integrity nominations
Nominate yourself or a colleague for the Tony McMurtrie Practitioner Award for Academic Integrity, awarded to a staff member (academic or professional) who exemplifies academic integrity values: honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, and courage. Nominations close on Monday 30 October. More information.

Responsible Research and Inclusive Innovation Approaches
As part of an Adelaide-Nottingham Alliance project, Professor Rachel Ankeny and colleagues are building a network of academics using Responsible Research and Inclusive Innovation (RRII) approaches in teaching and/or research in relation technologies used in food/drink and agriculture. Elder Music Lab meets Opus Novus

The Elder Conservatorium, Adelaide, and the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Singapore, reunite for the second instalment of their pioneering, cross-cultural collaborative endeavour.
Supporting students in distress
An increasing number of stressed, anxious, or potentially at-risk students may be likely as we move towards the end of our academic year. Students in Distress is a comprehensive staff development workshop that provides clear ideas and guidelines on what to do and who to ask for support. Wednesday 27 September, 10–11.30 am, Ligertwood 113 North Terrace campus, or via Zoom. More information.
Academic Workload Allocation workshops
The Academic Workload Allocation Working Group is seeking feedback on draft workload allocation principles and associated expectations. Academic staff are invited to participate in a series of workshops to explore current practice and consider the proposed principles. Workshops are available between 19 and 26 September. Peak body appointments
Dr Melissa Humphries (School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences) has been appointed to Science and Technology Australia’s STEM Sector Policy Committee. Dr Jordan Pitt (School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences) has been announced as a new executive member of the Academy of Science Early and Mid-Career Researcher Forum.
Doors to new office open today
The joint Project Management Office (PMO) has today officially taken up tenancy in a new shared office space. Located at 108 North Terrace, half-way between the two current universities, this represents a new chapter in the transition journey towards a potential new Adelaide University.
