Free microcredentials for teachers across Australia

Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), together with the School of Education and the Computer Science Education Research Group, has been awarded a $3.3 million contract from the Australian Government to develop and deliver a series of free, online microcredentials for teachers, school staff and school leaders across Australia. Body worn camera trial

To increase safety and security on campus, our University Security team are trialling body worn cameras. They will allow the video recording of interactions, with a view to enhancing and promoting the safety of security staff and persons they may be required to interact with as well as acting to deter unacceptable behaviour.

Upward trend in Library usage

A combination of students returning to campus and the renovation of Library spaces has seen a 25 per cent increase in student usage, compared to 2022. Student feedback has informed the re-purposing of spaces with more than 2,200 study spaces now available across campuses, including individual, collaborative, quiet, and casual seating. Read more

Run/walk for Mental Health Awareness Month

This October, join the Women’s Recreational Running Mental Health Awareness Challenge to win great prizes (including a FitBit). The University team runs every Tuesday and Thursday at 5.15 pm and meets at the Footbridge (Southside) on Victoria Drive. Come and join them on Tuesday 3 October for the event’s launch.

2024 Planning Calendar

The University’s Planning Calendar for 2024 is now available for downloading and printing on your local devices. The calendar is also available on the Governance website. Hard copies of the calendar are no longer printed and distributed via internal mail.
