A trip to the market

Whenever I have enough free time I love going to different markets and having a wander. On Sunday, I went to the Adelaide Farmers Market out at the Adelaide Showgrounds. It was packed full of fresh and local produce and was just a quick bus ride from the city and a calm stroll back with my bag full of food.

I had a great cup of coffee and one of the best almond croissants I have ever had. The market had stalls full of homegrown, farm fresh produce, meats and fresh bread and pastries, and food galore at every turn. The market also sported one of those fun diverse atmospheres attracting families and young couples and anyone and everyone. Food is always a sure way to bring cultures and people together.

Perhaps one of the nicest things to see (other than all the mouth-watering goodies) was the widespread use of biodegradable cups, plates, and cutlery. All the producers are local producers from around the Adelaide area and it was great to see everyone out and about (socially distancing as much as possible) and getting behind some great local food. A must see for anyone facing a dull weekend and a market I look forward to returning to! Happy marketing everyone!
