Empowered Educators Workshop 2
The Empowered Educators series is designed to support teaching quality and the facilitation of student learning in the age of Artificial Intelligence. If you were not able to make it to one of the first workshops in June, it is not too late to start; you can access the materials on the MyUni course and begin to identify and plan an initiative to enhance student learning. Wednesday 17 July, 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Ingkarni Wardli Level 7 Conference Room 715, North Terrace campus. Register.
Images of Learning and Teaching competition now open
The 2024 Images of Learning and Teaching competition is now open. Celebrate innovation in learning and teaching at the University with images that reflect our learning and teaching, and the people that make it happen. Entries that celebrate the diversity, innovation and creativity of our University are welcome from all Faculties. Submissions open Monday 1 July and close Sunday 1 September. More information.

2024 Pocket Statistics
The 2024 Pocket Statistics publication is now available. Produced every year as a companion document to the University’s Annual Report, it provides a handy three year time series of student, staff, research and finance statistics for the University of Adelaide, based on Australian Government statutory data collections. Vice-Chancellors message

A significant event on our annual calendar is the presentation of the University Awards for Outstanding Achievement. These awards acknowledge and reward the exceptional academic and professional contributions made by our people. It is such contributions, and their flow-on benefits, that underpin our collective success.
Staff Culture Survey results
Earlier this year, staff at the University of South Australia (UniSA) and the University of Adelaide (UoA) took part in our first cross-institutional Staff Culture Survey. The survey aimed to better understand the strengths of our current university cultures and to identify what staff want to take forward as we work together to define our desired culture for the new Adelaide University.
Recruitment Procedure for staff consultation
The recruitment procedure was provided for consultation on 24 June 2024. Early feedback has resulted in a small update to section 4.3 to provide additional clarity in this section. An amended version has now been released and the staff consultation period has been extended until COB Friday 19 July 2024.

2024 University Awards for Outstanding Achievement
Nominations are now open for the 2024 University Awards for Outstanding Achievement. Up to 13 individual and team awards of $5,000 are available to recognise the many exceptional contributions of academic and professional staff and titleholders across the University. Nominations close Friday 26 July. Submit your online nomination.

Adelaide University policies and procedures
In mid-July 2024, Adelaide University will be launched on the world stage with a series of events and campaigns, marking another significant step towards opening our doors on 1 January 2026. As part of this launch, we will be releasing initial Adelaide University policies and procedures required to meet regulatory and legislative compliance obligations.

Adelaide University Launch Staff Event and town hall recording
On Monday 15 July, we will be hosting our first collective, in-person, all staff event to launch Adelaide University to the world – a truly momentous step and a very important occasion to bring our staff together to share in a moment that matters. Monday 15 July, 10 am to 12 pm. Adelaide Convention Centre. RSVP by Friday 28 June.
