2024 University Awards for Outstanding Achievement
Nominations are now open for the 2024 University Awards for Outstanding Achievement. Up to 13 individual and team awards of $5,000 are available to recognise the many exceptional contributions of academic and professional staff and titleholders across the University. Nominations close Friday 26 July. Submit your online nomination.

Adelaide University policies and procedures
In mid-July 2024, Adelaide University will be launched on the world stage with a series of events and campaigns, marking another significant step towards opening our doors on 1 January 2026. As part of this launch, we will be releasing initial Adelaide University policies and procedures required to meet regulatory and legislative compliance obligations.

Adelaide University Launch Staff Event and town hall recording
On Monday 15 July, we will be hosting our first collective, in-person, all staff event to launch Adelaide University to the world – a truly momentous step and a very important occasion to bring our staff together to share in a moment that matters. Monday 15 July, 10 am to 12 pm. Adelaide Convention Centre. RSVP by Friday 28 June.

Adelaide University receives CRICOS registration
On 28 May, the co-Vice Chancellors announced that, following an extensive application process, Adelaide University obtained the necessary TEQSA approvals for registration as an Australian University higher education provider. This week the University has received TEQSA approval for Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), until 22 May 2031 to align with our TEQSA registration.

ANA Professional Staff Mobility Program
Applications are now open for the 2024 Adelaide-Nottingham Alliance Professional Staff Mobility Program. This initiative is open to professional staff to undertake a collaborative project with a University of Nottingham peer, culminating in a week-long exchange in the UK. Applications for this professional development opportunity close Monday 22 July. More information.

Calling mentors
Academic and professional mentors are sought to support students through the Career Access Mentoring program, for the second semester program intake. Share your experiences and be an important sounding board for students as they pursue and enter their chosen field, industry and professions. More information.
Campus map updates
The annual update to campus maps is a significant task with collation of changes beginning in September. If your relocation or project involves changing the name or footprint of a building or outdoor space, or moving or adding an essential service identified on one of our maps, please email infrastructure@adelaide.edu.au with the details.
Understanding predatory publishing
Identify predatory journals and conferences that might damage your research impact and professional reputation if you publish with them. This workshop will help you assess a journal and conference to identify whether it is legitimate or possibly predatory. Monday 1 July, 10–11 am. Register.
