MGRE 2211 - Modern Greek Culture and Society Part 1

This topic introduces students to various themes of Greek history from antiquity through to Modern times. Themes examined are: the Minoan and Cycladic civilisation, the Odyssey and the Iliad, the development of the City State, Alexander the Great, the rise and fall of the Byzantine Empire, Greece under Turkish rule and Greece during the 20th Century.
