This course is an intensive overseas study tour to USA with up to 120 contact hours expected as part of the course. The Study Tour will introduce students to USA business culture and society over two-three weeks, visiting overseas partner-institutions, participating in academic seminars, group work, industry and government visits and cultural activities. This course is designed to enhance student knowledge and appreciation for global leadership, business methods and models across cultures, including visits to US government departments. Students will be immersed in a foreign country and participate in small group learning with academic and business leadership. The course will cover all aspects of the business environment ranging from its economy, business ethics, leadership principles, international business patterns and entrepreneurship. Compulsory preparatory and pre-departure seminars form part of this course and assessment takes the form of participation, group work, presentations, assignments and case studies.
