Learning Outcomes
Course Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate the nature and processes of accrual accounting and demonstrate the accounting processes from initial transactions through to preparing the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
2. Demonstrate a comprehensive and applied knowledge of accounting for GST, equity, inventories, accounts receivable, non-current assets and liabilities.
3. Prepare a Statement of Changes in Equity.
4. Examine the Framework for the Preparation and Presentation of Financial Statements and accounting standards (AASBs) as they relate to the topics covered.University Graduate Attributes

Learning & Teaching Activities
Learning & Teaching Modes
The course is delivered through a mixture of online and face to face delivery. Topics 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 are online where the lecture time becomes interactive applied sessions. Topics 5, 8 and 9 use the traditonal lecture approach. All topics are supported by worked tutorial questions/solutions. The tutes time are used to provide formative assessment where students are provided with exam type questions/solutions.Workload

The amount of work required in the course should not be underestimated. Students need to be organsied in the manner of their learning and ensure that they understand the application of knowledge. Specific Course Requirements
Introductory Accounting I (or its equivalent) is a pre-requisite for this course. Students who have enrolled in Accounting Methods but have not met the prequisite will be removed from the Accounting Methods II. -
