MDIA 2219 - Game Art II

Adelaide College of ArtsandDes - Semester 2 - 2020

This course provides further development in the field of geometry in polygon modelling, UV mapping, texturing and hand painted virtual surfaces in game media. Students are taught the technical, artistic and sensory aspects of surface types such as specularity, that will equip them with the ability to create realistic looking virtual objects. They will also learn about the production pipeline and how to be procedural so that the production values are high within a relatively short turn around. Students work with software such as Maya Photoshop and crazy bump. It provides an entry point for Level III courses in Game Art.
