This is the field of Operational Commercial Law. The primary aim of the course is to facilitate deep understanding of how relevant contract law principles adapt and apply to military and policing operations within Australia and overseas, taking into account the extraordinary practical realities and complexities of the operational environment, as well as ethical and intercultural considerations. All discrete themes covered in the course consider how relevant law intersects with applicable government policies and what 'best-practice' principles ought to be applied on military operations. This course offers invaluable pre-deployment training for legal and non-legal officers.
