MUSONIC 1003 - Professional Practice

North Terrace Campus - Summer - 2020

With the aim of better equipping students for the workplace, students are given the opportunity to spend a semester as 'interns' within the music industry. The placements will normally be for one day per week and are supplemented with a series of seminars by music industry professionals, as well as on topics related to career readiness. Students will be allocated placements that relate to an aspect of music production in either studio or live sound, broadcasting, or within the film / media industries. Final placement will depend upon availability of a host organisation (either organised through school, or by the student). This course provides a way for students to enhance their career readiness, get some experience in the workplace and is an excellent preparation for progressing into professional practice.
