CONMGNT 1003 - Construction Engineering & Building Information Modelling I - Low Rise Construction

North Terrace Campus - Semester 2 - 2021

The construction and infrastructure industry are experiencing both local and international demand due to major expansion in this sector. Within this rapid development and growth is the incorporation of technology. Technology is set to be one of the largest disruptions in the Australian construction industry. Digital technology and platforms are now touching every part of the construction process, from interacting with a developed design, to managing construction logistics, scheduling and monitoring progress in construction ? this is all done through building information modelling. This course will provide a broad overview to building information modelling. In this course students will learn practical building information modelling skills via a hands on project with a particular focus on low-rise construction.
