CRIM 2007 - Criminal Network Analysis

North Terrace Campus - Semester 2 - 2024

This course explores how crime is organised, and how it can be controlled using criminal network analysis. Students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts, methods, and tools used to analyse various types of criminal networks - such as cybercrime, organised crime, and the trade in illicit goods and wildlife. To this end, this laboratory-based course provides students with applied analytical training using real crime data. It also examines the practical applications of criminal network analysis for law enforcement and intelligence purposes.
