    My research is in the fields of the advanced development of chemical and biotechnological process for the production of renewable energy and wastewater treatment. I have co-authored over 200 refereed publications, including 12 scholarly book chapters, 130 journal articles (66% in world leading journal in certain disciplines). I am a corresponding author as a project leader and principal supervisor for 70% of all my co-authored publications. I have a career publication h-index of 45 (i10 index: 100) with over 8360 citations (over 6500 since 2012). As a corresponding author and/or key investigator, five of my journal papers, were ranked as the highest cited paper in last 10 years by Essential Science Indicators (ESI).
