My doctoral research investigated the impact of pharmaceutical advertising on both the medical profession and the general public.

Specifically, I investigated the impact of incidental exposure to print advertising on medical students' implicit and explicit attitudes toward the advertised drug and evaluated the effectiveness of an educational intervention for the general public. This intervention was designed to inform consumers about industry sponsored disease awareness campaigns as well as cultivate healthy scepticism towards such potentially biased and misleading sources of health information.
