Wireless sensor networks: cyber security and machine learning

    Current Research Projects

Fuzzy Modelling and Analysis of Complex Networked Systems [ARC Discovery Projects 2017-19] Summary: This project develops novel modelling, analysis and synthesis approaches for networked control systems subject to sustem-wide nonlinearities and network-induced time delays.

Multi-agents Formation with Swarm Intelligence and Genetic Fuzzy Decision [Industry Research Agreements] Summary: This project derives formation methods for multi-agents on multiple missions and resource allocation based on swarm intelligence and genetic fuzzy decision concepts.

Security in Wireless Sensor Networks [International Research Collaboration] Summary: In the wireless setting, the sensors are relatively easy to access and analyse, thus it is no longer sufficient to rely on cryptography as a means to counteract attempts to infiltrate the sensor network. The project considers protection mechanisms on the physical layer and the network layer against the threat in spoofing of sensors. The physical layer work is on network protocols that are difficult to spoof based on the sensors' group intelligence. The network layer work is on data flow analyses using deep learning techniques to detect suspicious activity.
