Eloise Leaver joined the Institute for International Trade (IIT) in 2015, as the Business Manager for IIT and Global Food Studies (GFS). Eloise leads a team of professional staff in supporting the strategic objectives of both IIT and GFS and is responsible for overseeing the operational requirements of both areas including financial management, contract management, human resources, people management, marketing, and student and program administration. Eloise works closely with the Directors in providing high level support on the strategic planning and coordination of programs.
Prior to commencing in this role, Eloise was the Business Manager for the Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC), a fast-growing and successful centre at the University of Adelaide. Eloise took a leading role along with ECIC academic staff in implementing new initiatives in the ECIC, such as the partnership between the ECIC and the Pitcher Partners Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation which aims to develop the accountants' knowledge in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation. Eloise also had a leading role in the implementation of ECIC’s online postgraduate programs.
Prior to joining the University sector in 2006, Eloise worked as a Budget Analyst and Senior Budget Analyst for the Department of Treasury and Finance (Tasmania) and was part of the team responsible for the preparation of Tasmania’s State Budget.
