Biography/ Background
Dr Krishnan is engaged as a lecturer in Project Management at the Adelaide Business School. In the space of Academia, Krishnan was conferred (in recent years) with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of South Australia for his research/thesis entitled "Adversarial Multi-stakeholder Engagement in the Context of globally distributed ICT Projects - the ICT vendor's perspective". As a first Author, Krishnan has written and published research papers in well-established journals & conferences such as International Journal of Managing Projects in Business and IEEE. Krishnan is currently responsible for enabling (Master level & Undergraduate) students in the space of Project Management fundamentals, Project Management in Practice, Project Leadership & communications. Krishnan has also engaged in enablement of students in Project Risk Management/assessment, Enterprise Transformation/Innovation & Research Studies in Project Management at the Business school of University of Adelaide. Krishnan has supervised & evaluated research projects of several university students from the University of South Australia & Open University Australia. His Teaching Interests are in Project Management Fundamentals, Project Management in Practice, Project Leadership & Project Management Research. His research interests are in Project stakeholder engagement, People and Culture in Projects, Project Leadership studies. Krishnan has been engaged in various roles such as course coordination, teaching, researcher, tutoring, content developer and teaching team leader. Before moving back to Academia, Krishnan was an IT Industry professional engaged in various managerial, consulting & team leadership roles in Globally distributed projects and programs. Krishnan has nearly two decades of experience in the ICT industry, of which 11+ years at Hewlett Packard. Gained strong expertise in project management, team leadership and other functions such as presales, technical marketing and buinsess development in the IT Industry. Krishnan has excellent managerial expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, team leadership qualities & interpersonal skills that can positively contribute to either Industry or Academia. Krishnan has also briefly worked in the retail, and manufacturing sectors and played an active professional role in industrial engineering and human resource functions. At a voluntary level, Krishnan has engaged as a ‘quiz master’, participated in fundraising events, and served as a member of the governing council in a public school in Adelaide, Australia. Overall, Krishnan has the ability & passion for student enablement as well as passion and interest in engaging stakeholders in Academia, and collaborative engagement within Academia &/or Academia & Industry.
