  • Biography/ Background

    Dr. Muthig has nearly 30 years of experience that includes technology commercialization, new company creation, corporate management, business development, market research, project management, and staff supervision. He is currently a Senior Commercial Manager for the University of Adelaide.  Since 1996, Dr. Muthig has focused on technology commercialization and has worked with government labs, universities, private companies, and individual inventors to identify business applications for emerging technologies. He has formal training in license negotiation, license preparation, intellectual property management, valuation of intellectual property, government procurement, and basic/advanced topics in technology transfer.  His experience includes work with the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, Department of Homeland Security, National Institutes of Health, various universities, and more than 200 private and publicly held companies. He has worked with technologies from many fields including biomedical engineering, physics, energy, chemistry, agriculture, engineering, biochemistry, medicine, and computer science.
