  • Biography/ Background

    Pascale established the marketing discipline as one stream of the commerce degree when she joined the School of Commerce in 1991. As an active researcher in the areas of consumer behaviour and marketing communications, she is the author of two leading textbooks and many journal publications. Pascale has been actively involved in developing links with overseas institutions in Malaysia and France and has held several appointments as visiting professor in overseas institutions including La Sorbonne, ESSEC and the University of La Reunion. She is the director of the Franco-Australian Centre for International Research in Marketing (FACIREM).

    Current Reseach Topics:

    Sponsorship Effectiveness, Management and Practices (several papers published, some submitted, further writing in process, collaborative work with colleagues from the US, Ireland and France). Includes the study of Sports and Arts sponsorship.

    Relationship Marketing a) in relation to Service Exports (with Medlin C.) since 1993/1994, several papers presented at conferences and published, b) in relation to Sponsorship, several papers submitted and one PhD submitted May 2002 and c) in relation to University-Industry linkages since 2003 (following a German-Australian grant, with T. Baaken and C. Plewa)

    Country-of-Origin (COO) effects a) in Industrial Marketing: a collaborative study conducted with colleagues from France and New Zealand, several papers published and others submitted b) in Consumer Marketing: a study of COO of car components and brand influence (with Karunaratna A.), several papers presented at conferences and submissions in process; supervision and co-supervision of two theses (1 under FACIREM).

    The application of connectionist analytical methodologies in Marketing (with Aurifeille J-M), several papers presented at conferences and published in journals, further submissions underway.

  • Publications

    Pascale's list of publications includes 98 refereed papers, 2 leading textbooks (each in its forth edition), 9 case studies listed in a leading European case study clearing house and more than 65 non-refereed conference papers, professional articles and case studies. In addition, Pascale have presented more than 40 seminar papers or working papers at conferences as well as, on invitation, at a number of Australian and European universities. As well as conferences at which Pascale presented papers, she was a delegate at a number of international conferences.
