  • Biography/ Background

    Wasif Husain's area of interest are Dark Matter, Neutron stars, nuclear and astrophysics.

    Currently, he is working on 'Constraining Dark Matter Using Neutron stars', exploring the nature of dark matter by studying the dark matter effects on neutron star properties. Previously, he has studied 'Equation of State of Rotating Neutron Stars', where he showed the effects of rotation on neutron star properties.  

  • Qualifications

    Wasif Husain completed his Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Adelaide. Currently, he is doing PhD on 'Constrainting Dark Matter Using Neutron Stars'.

  • Awards & Achievements

    Wasif Husain is awarded the University of Adelaide International Scholarship for his PhD

    He was awarded the Adelaide Sholarship International Scholarship as an international student for his Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) by the University of Adelaide. 

    He was awarded the 'Dean's letter of Commendation' for excellence in research thesis in M.Phil.

  • Research Interests

    Wasif Husain’s areas of research are neutron stars, dark matter, high-energy nuclear and particle physics, astrophysics. Modelling the astrophysical compact objects and study the universe from the propective of particle physics and general relativity.
