Computer Engineering

Computer engineers design critical electronic components and equipment such as circuit boards, sensors, routers and microprocessors. But their capabilities stretch far beyond this. They also have the knowledge and skills to develop technologies in: coding and cryptography; visual sensing; robotics; and automation.

Through our Computer Engineering major you’ll learn how to design, develop and use computers to control all kinds of devices, equipment and processes, including robots, automated infrastructure and autonomous devices.

With a computer engineering qualification, you’ll be well placed to pursue exciting opportunities in industrial automation, logistics and e-commerce, whether as a hardware design, network, systems or software engineer. Additionally, your skills will be in high demand from numerous industries, including: SaaS (software as a service), professional services, IT and defence consulting, computer software and hardware.
